This test will confirm if mycotoxins are contributing to your symptoms. The Mycotoxins test is a simple and quick test that can tell you if you have mold toxins in your body. This test is measured using Vibrant’s patent-pending proprietary technology, to produce the most accurate and clinically relevant assessment of difficult-to-detect toxins that can cause serious disease in humans. Vibrant is able to detect mycotoxins, small molecules, as small as 5 pcg, which greatly expands the number of available mycotoxins detected.

Follow our simple instructions to perform this test at home. Before testing: You aren't required to fast before your test. However, fasting for 12 hours may increase the number of mycotoxins excreted in urine, so your provider may recommend fasting for 12 hours prior to testing. Your provider may recommend a “provoked” test which requires taking a “provoking agent” (such as NAC, DMSA, or EDTA) before testing to promote the release of mycotoxins. For best test performance, collect the first-morning urine upon awakening, prior to eating or drinking. Your provider may ask you to discontinue medications or dietary supplements. Speak with your provider to learn more. Send the test to our labs for analysis and work with your care provider to understand the results.

The Mycotoxins panel measures levels of mycotoxins produced by common molds that people are exposed to. Mycotoxin exposure can come from both dietary and environmental sources. Dietary sources include spoiled or rotten foods, grains, dried fruits, nuts, coffee, and spices. Environmental sources include living or working in water-damaged buildings, airborne or physical contact with outdoor molds, and airborne dust in buildings containing mold spores. If you were diagnosed with or suspect toxic burden, impaired immunity, autoimmune disease, or exposure to mold, this panel may benefit you.
