Abstract
The Akashic Records are a place in which spiritual enlightenment and scientific theory clash in a realm of light that holds the answer to all things past, present, and future. This almost unobtainable book is filled with all thoughts, emotions, motivations, actions, and even prophecies. Future life matters are not written in stone, so-to-speak. They are constantly changing based upon one’s actions and reactions throughout their lifetime. While different cultures and individuals call these records by various names, science may have uncovered a physical space in which they exist or in the very least a place that provides us a bridge or channel to their access. It is ultimately through the Akashic Records that only a select few have been able to experience such a supreme state of enlightening and spiritual growth. While not impossible, meditation can provide an avenue but only those most practiced and open to cardinal experiences. While visions of fancy for some, there is nothing wrong with literally reaching for the stars in practices of enlightenment and fulfillment.
Introduction
Humans spend an inexplicable amount of time wondering the why of everything. We are always wondering why we exist, if life has a purpose, or even if there is an end to our suffering. Are the patterns we see throughout our lives nothing more than the work of our imaginations? What if we are doomed from the start? What if everything about our lives is linked to or has something to do with our past lives? In certain religions, the Akashic Records are thought to be the answer to all human wonderment. Let’s take a look at what Akashic records truly are and how we can access it.
What Are Akashic Records?
In the simplest of terms, Akashic Records are claimed to be an intangible book containing details of our past lives. From the very first life you lived to your current one everything is recorded in these books. It means that every life you have lived, every emotion expressed, thought, action, and promise you made are recorded neatly in Akashic Records. If you want to know the purpose of your life, this is where you visit to learn more.
The word “Akashic” itself is derived from the Sanskrit word “Akasha”, which means the primary matter from which everything is conjured. It surrounds us in its entirety at all times. The Akashic Records is also referred to as the Hall of Records. It is believed these books are found in a multi-dimensional library in a place that exists in between the worlds and is made out of light. It is said that every incarnated soul has their information recorded and encoded with light itself.
The supreme wisdom provided by the Akashic Records is said to be something that only saints, psychics, and souls, who have reached an unprecedented level of self-discovery, are capable of achieving. Only the people who would be truly able to realize how sacred the records are would be permitted access to the records. As humanity stepped into the age of Aquarius, everything changed. Instead of depending on the sages for guidance, humans began to take responsibility for their own spiritual growth and awakening.
Origins of the Akashic Records
Since time immemorial, Akashic Records have always been there. While the most universally acknowledged name is certainly influenced by Sanskrit, a lot of cultures and believers have a different name for the records as well as slightly different interpretations. The Bible calls it the “Book of Life”, while the Torah refers to it as the “Book of Remembrance”. In Garuda Purana though, one divine individual named Chitragupta was tasked with the supreme job of keeping track of and recording the life of every living being in this universe from the day they are born to the day they die to when they are reincarnated again.
It’s in the Mystical traditions that these documents are termed the Akashic Records, a world of books that has the entirety of the universe recorded in it. In America, one of the most followed and documented 20th Century psychics, Edgar Cayce, was famous for his accomplishment of achieving close proximity to the Akashic Records and actually reading what it contained. Cayce, who was born in 1877 and died in 1945, was a mystic of American origin who was also known as the sleeping prophet. It is said that Cayce made use of the trance channeling method through which he could read the records and then shared the wisdom he gained with the world to propel the evolution of human spiritualism. Other than Edgar Cayce, the theosophist Helena Blavatsky mentioned something called the indestructible tablets of the astral light. Apparently, it had not only past recorded details of humanity, but it also details the future in a manuscript of every thought and action that ever existed. Often, Rudolf Steiner’s writings would contain the Akashic Records.
In a more scientific spin, a quantum physicist by the name of Ervin Laszlo described the Akashic Records as some sort of imprint of electromagnetic waves left behind by the universe in all of its happenings. If we combine all these stories, it’s easy to conclude the Akashic Records is something like a virtual system of files where the experiences of a soul, their thoughts, actions and emotions along with their words is recorded from the very beginning if existence. Certainly, this helps those who can access it recognize patterns in mortality to change the present, make a better future, and learn from the mistakes from the past. That is the mistakes of a past life they wouldn’t have otherwise ever remembered if they didn’t get their hands- or minds- on the records.
Akashic records are not something that’s written in stone. They continually evolve along with the person of which whom the records are about. This nature of the Akashic Records is related to Karma. Who has not heard of Karma? Surely anyone that is remotely interested in spiritualism is familiar with the concept. It is in this concept that our actions or deeds have some lasting butterfly effect on the world in a cause-and-effect pattern that are very much a real thing. A concept that’s referred to in Sikhism, Hinduism, Jainism, Taoism, and Buddhism, it’s the eastern version of “what goes around comes around” for the West. The Karma we rack up is what is said to be the main preceding event that shapes the outcomes of our present as well as all of our future lives.
How Can We Access the Akashic Records?
If there is one thing that both spiritualists and scientists agree on, it is that there is part of the human consciousness that we can’t ever consciously access. Akashic Records is said to be located in this realm in a place even higher than the astral plane. When someone tries to peek into their past lives, they must reach the seventh vibrations. The upper layers above it also contain the records of the past lifetime. There isn’t one specific way that you can access the Akashic Records.
In fact, there are several. Like Edgar Cayce, a person can fine-tune their trance channeling, or one can access it through paying, certain breathing techniques, and even meditation. These meditative practices are not of the ordinary kind. However, certain people even use a mixture of all. One must learn how to relax their entire body, mind, and soul in order to truly meditate while focusing on exactly what they want to know through the Akashic Records. One has to remember that the records are a wealth of information. If someone were to be faced with it without any proper direction, they would not receive any answers but instead be presented with a jumbled mess of information that one might never be able to sort through.
Accessing the Akashic Records can take a lifetime or more of diligent practice. The person has to be truly open and relaxed before accessing the records. They have to be receptive to knowledge. The person needs to take their time, let everything around them settle and disappear all the while meditating. It doesn’t matter what kind of meditative practice you’re accustomed to using. You just need to develop advanced skills over time to go to the true depth through meditation. During this enlightening process, the person makes a prayer to something that can’t be seen and asks to be shown the records in regard to what the person specifically needs to know. The information will slowly invade their awareness if they continue to maintain a relaxed and receptive state of being. The way the information enters a person is different for everyone though. Some receive a visual or auditory response while others have a guide or angel come to them. When one manages to reach the state of trance where they can access the Akashic Records, their entire being has a heightened sense of awareness. Their intuitions are more in tune with the world than ever before.
What Is Schumann Resonance?
It was in 1952 that W.O. Schumann, a professor, and German physicist, hypothesized that between the earth and the ionosphere, there is a place or space where select electromagnetic waves become measurable. NASA tells us that the Ionosphere as a huge layer made out of molecules, electrons, and atoms that have been ionized. This layer is at least at 30 miles above earth’s surface, almost touches where space is, and usually spans about 600 miles. It is in between earth and the ionosphere that these electromagnetic waves exist as detailed by W.O. Schumann.
In 1954, the hypothesis was fully confirmed by Schumann and H.L. König. A resonance was detected that was fine-tuned to the frequency of 7.83 Hz. This is how the Schumann resonance came to be by counting the electromagnetic resonance generated around the globe and how these waves transform into a physical state of detectable excitement mediated by the phenomenon of ionosphere lightning. However, this frequency is credited with acting as a tuning for life on earth in that it is responsible for affecting the mammalian brain in certain ways.
The natural 7.83 Hz frequency has been instrumental in protecting life on earth. For some, it is simply another term for the earth’s heartbeat. In ancient times, the Rishis of India would call this OHM or even the true form of sound. It is also interesting to note that 7.83 Hz frequency is the same one used to enter brainwave entrainment. The brain wave has alpha on the lower range and high level of theta in this state. The frequency has related to meditation, suggestibility, and hypnotism along with an increasing level of cerebral blood flow when confronted with this frequency.
So, is it any wonder that there is a huge belief that at 7.83 Hz frequency is where the Akashic records are located? This is the electromagnetic waves Ervin Laszlo was referring to when he stated that the Akashic Records are nothing, but an imprint left by these waves. As this frequency is what allows humans to go into a deep state of hypnosis or meditation, the assumption that this is the frequency where Akashic Records might be located is a suggestion that’s easy to believe in with tangible scientific explanations. There is also the suspicion that human consciousness is capable of leaving a major impact on earth’s magnetic field and in turn is highly susceptible to it. That this is why humans experience major moments of an unexplainable disturbances at the same time.
Conclusion
In the end, for most people, Akashic Records are nothing but word of mouth. Until one truly gets close to experiencing it, until one reaches that level of meditative state, until their brain aligns with 7.83 Hz frequency, all of this is bound to sound more like a mere spiritualistic fairytale or a fantasy of quantum physics. The true and false of it can only be confirmed by oneself and not by anyone else they meet in this lifetime who claim to have tapped into this realm. Of course, one can always try accessing the Akashic Records but whether they would be able to access it or give up after deciding it's all imagination is up to them. It could also be argued that the reason a person has not been able to reach the records, despite trying everything, can be related to the fact that they never believed in it in the first place.
Humans continue to seek self-fulfillment with or without the records. It is hard to tell whether by accessing the records, one would be encouraged or discouraged to move forward. The only person who can determine what the future holds is you. However, there is nothing wrong with trying to reach something that appears unattainable. So, if you ever want to visit the 7.83 Hz, go for it!
